Hello, I'm Mercy, a braider & natural hair advocate.

I’m a proud Cameroonian-born hair braider, passionate about empowering women through natural hair care, protective styles, and cultural celebration.

Rooted in Culture, Styled with Purpose

I began braiding during school breaks in Cameroon and continued after immigrating to the United States in 2013. What began as a necessity turned into a calling. Today, I blend expert technique and cultural pride.

How to Blow-Dry Your Hair

You can click the button on the left to watch a video to guide you, or read the guide below.

Step 1: Wash & Condition

Start with clean, freshly washed hair. Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to soften and prep your hair.

Step 2: Towel Blot Gently

Pat your hair dry with a towel—don’t rub. Excess water can cause frizz and breakage.

Step 3: Apply Heat Protectant

Use a heat protectant or leave-in conditioner to shield your hair from heat damage.

Step 4: Section Your Hair

Divide your hair into 4–6 sections using clips. This makes drying faster and more even.

Step 5: Use a Blow Dryer with a Comb Attachment

Starting from the ends and working up to the roots, gently blow-dry each section using a comb attachment or use a paddle brush with your dryer.

Step 6: Stretch, Don’t Straighten

You don’t need to make it bone-straight—just stretched and detangled enough for easy braiding.
